Ever the comedian, Ryan Reynolds has announced Deadpool 3 has wrapped filming in style.
Ryan Reynolds shared quite an intimate picture with fans after he finished shooting the upcoming third installment in the Marvel series. Ryan has played the anti-hero since 2016. This movie has audiences excited as Hugh Jackman will reprise his role as Wolverine. Hugh hasn’t played the character for seven years but announced his return last year amid an online ‘feud’ with Ryan. Now, we’re one step closer to seeing the two characters meet onscreen!
Ryan Reynolds says Deadpool 3 has wrapped filming
Taking to Instagram, the 47-year-old shared a close up on his crotch covered by Deadpool’s costume. In the caption, he thanked the cast and crew who’ve worked on the films and reminded fans of the Hollywood blockbuster release date.
He wrote: “The suit hides blood. Also sweat… But today, with Deadpool wrapping, it’s mostly tears. A giant and forever thanks to the cast and crew of our film who battled wind, rain, strikes and @thehughjackman… all under the stalwart leadership of @slevydirect”

“I got to make a movie with my closest pals and that doesn’t happen very often. See ya July 26th… [two sword emojis on either side of a pleading eyes emoji.]”
Fans can’t get over Ryan’s post
In the comments of Ryan’s latest upload, fans joked about his “package,” though we shouldn’t really be surprised – this is Ryan Reynolds we are talking about! The man is a walking innuendo.
One fan said: “I just opened Instagram…”
Another joked: “Apparently the suit hides that trouser snake, too….”
A third commented: “I was straight up about to keep scrolling, thinking it was some gross fan page sexualizing him, but nope it’s just him himself” and added two crying emojis.
A fourth penned: “This is unacceptable, (send more lower body pics).”
A fifth wrote: “The only time I’ve ever been ecstatic to see a bright red crotch.”
Ryan says he ‘wasn’t responsible’ for getting Hugh onboard
Throughout the first two films, Deadpool references Wolverine numerous times but the two characters have never appeared in a film together – something that isn’t very surprising considering Deadpool is rated R while all other released Marvel films are much more tame and have lower age ratings.
However, Ryan explained he wasn’t the one responsible for getting Hugh back into the role of Wolverine.
The celebrity told Collider: “I think you’re giving me too much credit. I don’t believe that I’m responsible for Hugh coming back. I always wanted Hugh to come back. My first meeting with Kevin Feige when Disney bought Fox years ago, maybe three years ago, or three and a half, four years ago, I’m not sure, was about doing a movie with the two of us, a Deadpool Wolverine movie. And that was not possible at the time.”
He continued: “And then Hugh just happened to call at that perfect moment and express that he’d be interested in coming back and doing this one more time. And the contents of that conversation, I’ll let Hugh, because I know it’s only inevitable that you and Hugh are going to speak at some point soon, I’m sure. I’ll let Hugh answer that on his own. But he expressed interest in coming back, and then it was my job to take that to Kevin Feige one more time and sell it.”
