Almost a year after Ray Liotta’s passing, his cause of death has been revealed. The Goodfellas actor died from respiratory insufficiency and acute heart failure, according to documents obtained by TMZ.  Liotta died in his sleep on May 26, 2022, at age 67 from “natural and nonviolent” causes. The outlet reports that the Golden Globe nominee suffered pulmonary edema, “a condition caused by too much fluid in the lungs,” making it “difficult to breathe” per Mayo Clinic.

Master violinist Isaac Stern, who is credited with saving Carnegie Hall from demolition, died September 22 of heart failure at New York Weill Cornell Medical Center. He was 81. Stern was one of the last great violinists of his generation and helped the careers of generations of musicians who followed, including Itzhak Perlman, Pinchas Zukerman and Yo-Yo Ma. He was one of the most recorded classical musicians in history, making well over 100 recordings.

BOULDER, CO (CelebrityAccess) — Independent concert company Z2 Entertainment and the Colorado Chautauqua Association have announced that Z2 has been named as the exclusive promoter for the Chautauqua Summer Concert Series. The concert series, which takes place each summer at the 1,326 capacity Chautauqua Auditorium in Boulder, this past year featured performances by Steve Earle & The Dukes, Gordon Lightfoot, Melissa Etheridge, Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra featuring Wynton Marsalis and Robert Cray among others.
