Kaley Cuoco has opened up about how she’s suffering from carpal tunnel syndrome after giving birth to her first daughter, Matilda, and the challenges that come with it. However, the actress isn’t letting her condition stop her.
The Hollywood actress gave birth to her first child earlier this year with Ozark actor Tom Pelphrey, and she’s now opening up on the struggles that have come with motherhood.

Kaley Cuoco has ‘major wrist injury’ from holding her baby
Despite her injuries, the Hollywood star isn’t letting it hold her back from workouts, as she and her trainer, Ryan Sorensen showed fans.
In the Instagram video, posted by her trainer, Kaley, who can be seen wearing wrist splints on both arms, says: “Some of you may know, I have this major wrist, hand injury from holding the baby, it’s a very real thing, Google it.
“I think the only way to make them better is for us to start working out without using my hands, and without using any body weight on my hands which sounds crazy, and how are you going to work out like that?
“But Ryan and I are gonna do it today and we’re gonna show you that you can still get a workout, even if you are injured,” she concluded.
The Big Bang Theory actress then went on to showcase her “No Hands Workout” with fans that included jump squats and treadmill running.
In the caption of the video, Kaley’s trainer confirmed she had been suffering with “what’s called Carpal tunnel syndrome, basically numbness and tingling in the hands and arms from a pinched nerve…mostly due to holding the baby.”
What is Carpel Tunnel syndrome?
Carpel Tunnel syndrome (CTS) is pressure on a nerve in your wrist, as per NHS UK.
“It causes tingling, numbness, and pain in your hand and fingers. You can often treat it yourself, but it can take months to get better.”
The site states that the condition sometimes gets better by itself in a few months, particularly if you have it because you’re pregnant.
Kaley Cuoco and Tom Pelphrey welcomed daughter Matilda in March
Earlier this year, Kaley Cuoco and her boyfriend Tom Pelphrey welcomed their first daughter, Matilda. The couple began their romance back in April 2022, and their daughter was born less than a year later.
However, previously opening up to Emmy magazine, the 37-year-old said motherhood wasn’t always in her plans, as she said:
“I never saw motherhood on my radar. But with Tom, it was instantaneous — I knew I wanted a child with him.”
